
Chandra Wilson

Born August 27, 1969, in Houston, Chandra Wilson plays no-nonsense doctor Miranda Bailey on the hit ABC show, Grey’s Anatomy.
Wilson’s first regular television work was on Bob Patterson in 2001. After the show ended, she continued to act on screen and onstage before joining the medical drama in 2005.
Wilson and the rest of the Grey’s cast won a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2007. The actress has been nominated for four Emmys since 2006, but has yet to take home a trophy.
Wilson has been married since 1988 and has three children: Serena, Joy, and Michael.
