Christine Baumgartner was born in California in March 1974 and went on to launch a handbag line under the label Cat Bag Couture. Baumgartner met Kevin Costner while he was filming 1996’s Tin Cup, and they began dating in 1998.

The pair tied the knot in 2004 and three years later they welcomed son Cayden. Baumgartner – who is also stepmom to Costner’s four children from previous relationships – then gave birth to their second son, Hayes, in 2009 followed by daughter Grace in 2020.

After 18 years of marriage, Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner in May 2023.
