A special guest! Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev think it would be “awesome” to include their 1-month-old son, Matteo, in their upcoming wedding.
When the reality star, 36, mentioned having the little one “walk down the aisle” during the Wednesday, September 9, “Total Bellas Podcast” episode, the Dancing With the Stars pro, 38, replied, “Well, walking down the aisle means it’s gonna take a while.”
The former professional wrestler told him that their infant is “crazy, freakishly strong,” saying, “I don’t know. How he is, he might be walking [sooner]. Brie [Bella] and I walked at 9 months.”
She and the Russian dancer started dating in 2019 and got engaged later that same year during a Paris trip. They shared proposal pictures in January.
In June, the couple opened up about choosing to postpone their nuptials amid the coronavirus pandemic. “I want to make sure the world is in such a clear space,” Nikki explained during a “Big Demi Energy” podcast episode at the time. “The day I get married, I just want a massive party. I want a bash. I want everything I’ve dreamed of.”
The California native’s fiancé echoed this on Wednesday, noting he doesn’t want “plastic walls” around all of their guests. “At the end of the day, it’s a celebration and not just a thing you attend for the sake of attending,” Chigvintsev said. “And both of us feel the same way about that. Once we can figure out what that would look like, it’s going to start moving quickly.”
For now, he and Nikki are enjoying life with Matteo, who arrived in July. The E! personality was in labor for 22 hours.
“[It was] the hardest workout I’ve ever done in my entire life,” theTotal Bellas star said in September, joking she “almost” tore the rails from the hospital bed. “I pushed so hard and on that last round, I pushed Matteo out. And he came out vaginally, and that was the most incredible feeling ever.”
As for Brie, also 36, she and husband Daniel Bryan welcomed their second child, a son named Buddy, less than 24 hours after Matteo’s arrival.
