The Fuller House alum has been in the spotlight for more than three decades — her first acting gig was in 1982 — and has faced her fair share of criticism. With the rise of social media, however, Cameron Bure has learned when to fight back, calling out haters for years now. The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries star turned heads in September 2020 when she posted a photo of her husband of 24 years, Valeri Bure, with his hand cupping her breast. After receiving backlash from some of her Instagram followers, Cameron Bure said, “I’m sorry if it offended you. I’m actually not sorry.” She explained in a series of Instagram Story videos that she and the former hockey player “have so much fun together. He can touch me anytime he wants, and I hope he does. That is what a healthy, good marriage and relationship is all about.” Two months later, the Full House alum exclusively told Us Weekly how the controversial photo came to be, saying that their son, Lev, took the snap after the trio “had a really great lunch.” [sendtonews type="float" key="GHVtrsBwYS-2841687-14453"] She revealed that after taking about 10 pictures, Bure “put his hand there” and while looking through the images later the couple “both laughed and were like, ‘That one’s so funny. Let’s post it.’ And then it blew up on the internet.” The A Christmas Detour actress, who also shares daughter Natasha and son Maksim with the former athlete, noted that some people thought it was “inappropriate” or had “too much PDA,” telling Us that she thought it was “pretty innocent” based on what is shown on TV these days. “I’m so happy we’re flirting and we have fun together,” she added. “This is a really good thing.” The If I Only Had Christmas actress has dealt with many trolls online throughout her career, some who’ve attacked her family and others who have ridiculed her weight. Bible Backing

The Shoe Addict’s Christmas star shared a passage from the Bible in February 2021 via her Instagram Story, in the wake of her continued social media scrutiny. “My dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness,” the quote read, seemingly addressing her unwarranted ridicule by some people.

Follower Backlash

The mother of three responded to criticism about who she follows on social media with an Instagram Story video in January 2021. “I read several comments from people … that were disappointed or told me that they were unfollowing me because of the people I choose to follow on Instagram,” she said at the time. “And it’s always strange to me because I follow a very broad range of people — politically, within my work industry and then personal friends and things I like. But a follow does not mean an endorsement.” The actress, who follows people on both sides of the political spectrum, noted that a “follow” doesn’t mean she agrees with “everything they say and do.”

She continued: “It just means I follow a broad range of people so that I have perspective. I want to know what’s going on in the world, I want to hear different sides of the argument. I follow people in entertainment that I don’t necessarily agree with or act the same way, but I want to hear what our society, what culture is dishing out.”

Mama Bear Moment

The Let It Snow actress fired back at online haters who wrote negative messages on her family’s holiday card in January 2021. “Wow – I post a family photo and you all find everything you don’t like about it or can make fun of,” Cameron Bure wrote via Instagram. “Do better than that. Please.”

The Christmas Town actress expanded on her disappointment with some of the comments on the snap in a lengthy Facebook post, writing, “Do you think it’s funny to criticize someone’s children? To make jokes about them?” She then said “shame on you” to the trolls, adding, “If you don’t like something, just move on. There are people and real feelings behind every screen.”

Protective Sister

After her brother, Kirk Cameron, faced backlash for hosting Christmas caroling events amid the coronavirus pandemic in December 2020, the former child star made it clear that she is not here for the negative remarks about her family. “I did not attend any recent caroling events. Also, I choose to follow the greater guidelines by wearing a mask and social distance when I’m in public,” Cameron Bure tweeted at the time. “However, I don’t appreciate the vile tweets about my family. I believe respectful dialogue is the key to being heard. Stay safe 🎄."

The Hallmark Channel actress received backlash in September 2020 after sharing a photo of her husband touching her breast. Cameron Bure, however, didn’t see any issue with the PDA-filled snap and told her followers so in a series of videos on her Instagram Stories. “For all of the Christians that are questioning my post with my husband’s hand on my boob — my husband of 24 years — thinking it was inappropriate, it makes me laugh because it’s my husband,” she said. “We have so much fun together. He can touch me anytime he wants, and I hope he does. That is what a healthy, good marriage and relationship is all about.” She later said: “I’m sorry if it offended you. I’m actually not sorry. I’m glad we have fun together after so many years. He can touch me all day long.”

Zero Tolerance

The actress shared a photo in April 2018 with her oldest son, Lev, outside of Nobu restaurant in Malibu, California, wearing jeans, a causal tee and matching jean jacket. An Instagram user then commented on the family photo, writing, “All that exercising, and you still look like you weigh more than your husband, did you change your diet?” The former View cohost clapped back, saying, “If a 25-inch waist looks big to you … then you’re looking through an altered lens.
