Cat Costumes! Romance! Island Tension! Connor B., Tre and Aaron Tease Their ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Journeys

Tournament of roses! Connor Brennan, Tre Cooper and Aaron Clancy teased season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, promising lots of drama to go around. After reuniting for The Bachelorette: Men Tell All special, which aired on Monday, July 26, the season 17 Bachelorette contestants exclusively told Us Weekly that finding The One was still a top priority for them — which is why they went to Mexico for Paradise. “Honestly, like, I fell in love on The Bachelorette. And I believe in what this place can be, even though it's on TV and it looks crazy,” Connor B., 29, said at Katie Thurston’s Men Tell All taping. “It was a pretty amazing way to fall in love. So, if I can get back in that place and not have a phone, not have distractions and be able to just really focus on chemistry and relationships with people, I'm all [in].” Aaron, 26, who was eliminated on the July 12 episode of The Bachelorette alongside Tre, 26, and Connor, admitted that dating on TV isn’t that much harder than trying to find love in the real world. [jwplayer MeMpVnpj-l3ahXupL] “I've tried to dating in the regular world quite a bit, [so I thought], ‘Let's try it in the Paradise world.’ We'll give it a shot,” he said of his choice to go to Mexico. “You know it could be a great experience.” Tre, for his part, noted that he’s trying to find his person no matter where she is, so the Bachelor spinoff is just another way to try and achieve his forever romance. “I want to end up in a happy marriage with a wonderful family. I don't care what it looks like getting there,” he told Us. “And so, if that's [by taking] the route of going on The Bachelorette again [or] that's Paradise, like, I don't care how I get there. I just want to get there.” However, the men’s time on BiP wasn’t without its drama — which fans can expect to see a lot of come August. “There’s definitely tension, but there's definitely heartwarming moments,” Tre exclusively told Us. “There's definitely funny moments and there's definitely romance that's everywhere. Summer Break

“I was off for the summer as a teacher, and I had such an incredible experience on The Bachelorette and grew so much,” Connor told Us of his decision to go to Paradise. “I learned so much about myself that I just thought if I can be back in this world, I would love to.”

Sandy Cat

After winning over Katie and the rest of Bachelor Nation with his hilarious songs and cat costume entrance on The Bachelorette, Connor teased which side of himself fans will see on the ABC spinoff. “I will tell you that I packed the ukulele. I also brought a guitar this time. So I'm that idiot on the beach with a guitar,” he joked. “I will say that the cat suit in my suitcase right now is a little bit sandy. That’s all I can say.”

Correcting His Storyline

“Coming out of The Bachelorette, you know, it wasn't really a love story for me,” Aaron admitted. “It was, like, a conflict story, you know? It was a lot of, kind of, unfinished business [for me]. I think everyone shares the dream of loving and being loved and I'm one of those people. I might not have found it here [on season 17 of the show], but maybe I'll find it there [on Paradise].”

The Bromance Continues

Aaron told Us that “it’s always a bonus to see the boys,” so having so many of his fellow season 17 contestants in Mexico was a blast. “My fellow castmates are like my brothers at this point. I have no bad blood with anyone,” he said. “[I] couldn't wait to see them on the beach and, you know, maybe f—k around and take a dip in the ocean.”

Looking for Love

"I think that [finding The One] was the only reason why I decided to go to Paradise,” Tre told Us. “I could go on a trip to Mexico by myself and not be subjected to maybe the stress,​​ or, you know, whatever comes to Paradise.” He explained that the spinoff series allowed him the “opportunity to meet a bunch of great women” who have been through the same “vetting process” he went through already on The Bachelorette.

“You know you're getting quality [women] and someone's there looking for love,” the software engineer continued. “And so, for me, that was the only reason why I went to Paradise is because I wanted to build a connection and find my person.”

Drama is Coming!

“There’s a million percent going to be tension. You know, the guys from our season — it's me, a very strong-willed person to speak my mind, Aaron, a very strong-willed person, James, you know, and then you've got Connor, who's the songbird of our house,” Tre teased. “We had our own identity when we went out there, you know, Katie's guys and we made our stamp. [Plus], Karl brings a very maniac energy to everything.”
