Josh Lucas

Josh Lucas is an American actor best known for his roles in Sweet Home Alabama, A Beautiful Mind, Ford v Ferrari and Yellowstone. Lucas moved frequently before his family eventually settled in Gig Harbor, Washington, when he was 13. He attended Gig Harbor High School, where he developed an early interest in acting before graduating in 1989.

Lucas moved to Hollywood at 19 and began his career with various television roles before making his film debut in Alive in 1993. He later gained attention with his roles in American Psycho and You Can Count on Me in 2000. The following year, he landed the role of Hansen in the period drama A Beautiful Mind in 2001, raising his profile.

Lucas went on to star in several films, including Sweet Home Alabama (2002), Hulk (2003), Glory Road (2006), Poseidon (2006), The Lincoln Lawyer (2011), Red Dog (2011) and Ford v Ferrari (2019). On television, the actor has made recurring appearances on shows like The Firm, The Mysteries of Laura and Long Slow Exhale. From 2018 to 2022, he played a younger version of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton on the Western drama Yellowstone.

Lucas married writer Jessica Ciencin Henriquez in March 2012. They welcomed son Noah Rev Maurer (born in 2012) that June and divorced in 2014. He began dating meteorologist Brianna Ruffalo in 2022. They became engaged in 2024 and wed in July the following year.
