
Zachary Quinto
Born in 1977 in Pittsburgh, Penn., the actor graduated from his hometown’s prestigious Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama before making a splash in Hollywood. Quinto’s first industry appearance was on television in the short-lived television series The Others.
In 2006, Quinto took on the role of Sasan, the haughty, Persian-American best friend of Tori Spelling on her VH1 series So NoTORIous. Later that year, Quinto joined the cast of NBC’s Heroes as the quiet and dangerously super-powered serial killer Sylar. For his film debut in 2009, Quinto starred as Spock in Star Trek. Prior to earning the role in 2006, Quinto expressed his interest in portraying Spock, stating that he believed he resembled Leonard Nimoy.
In October 2011, the actor revealed in a New York Magazine interview that he is gay.
