On his mind. Following his split from Jennifer Lopez after four years together, Alex Rodriguez has not been shy about using social media to tease his perspective. One Last Look

One day before the exes announced their breakup, the ex-MLB player posted a video of him listening to Coldplay's "Fix You" as he shared a look at his favorite photos with Lopez. In the April 2021 Instagram Story video, Rodriguez highlighted a selection of framed family photos and a photo of "Jennifer + Alex" written in the center of a big heart with an arrow going through it.

"Din din with my girls. #DaddyDinnerDate,” Rodriguez captioned an Instagram pic in May 2021 of him enjoying a meal with his daughters, Natasha and Ella. There were three empty place settings on the table, which one social media user pointed out. They were seemingly meant to be where Lopez and her twins, Maximilian and Emme, sat before the split.

Setting Goals

“I am about to step into a new beginning in my life. Anything that doesn’t serve me is clearing out of my life. New energy is emerging,” the former baseball player posted on Instagram in May 2021 “New levels are unlocking for me mentally, physically and spiritually. I am remaining patient and know that this new phase of my life is coming.”

The motivational message came after Lopez was spotted with Affleck.

“Alex was jealous that Jen and Ben were seeing each other,” a source told Us at the time. “He’s still holding out hope they can reconcile.”

A Positive Outlook

"The sun is setting on a perfect golf day, and I’m feeling very appreciative for all of the wonderful things in life. ☀️," Rodriguez captioned a photo of himself via Instagram in May 2021. "Tell me something good that happened to you today."

"There's a part of him that still clings onto the hope that they’ll wind up together again but deep down he's had to accept the harsh truth that she's over him and moving on with Ben," an insider told Us that same month. "It's a tough pill to swallow but that's his new reality."

Rodriguez voiced his disappointment at not being invited to Lopez's close pal and voice coach, Stevie Mackey's party in June 2021.

"Where is my invite - Stevie?!😍," the MLB alum replied to Mackey's post on Instagram, to which she responded, "Anytime brother."
