See All the Celebs Who Got Tribute Tattoos for Love: From Brooklyn Beckham to Kelly Ripa

In the name of love! Celebrities are no strangers to wild, crazy and downright absurd ink, but sometimes their tattoos take a sweeter turn. 

Whether they’re looking to honor family members that have passed or give a nod to their better half, the stars don’t shy away from touching tributes. 

Ink in honor of brides and grooms to be was all the rage this year, with Porsha Williams,  Nicola Peltz and Heather Rae El Moussa getting designs in honor of their husbands to be. 

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star had her fiancé Simon Guobadia’s middle name tattooed on her neck in May 2021. 

“I got a tattoo. I think it’s a great way to show when you love someone,” the reality star said on Fox’s Dish Nation. As for why she chose her neck? Well, apparently it’s less painful. 

“I don’t like no pain,” she explained. “Right here it doesn’t hurt and, you know, I think that’s cute.”  

Peltz, 26, and her fiancé Brooklyn Beckham, are by no means shy when it comes to showing their love. Aside from having necklaces of one another’s wisdom teeth, the model also got “Brooklyn” inked in script on her back in April 2021.

Of course, we have to mention the Selling Sunset star's latest design, in honor of her now-husband, Tarek El Moussa. The real estate agent star had “Yes sir, Mr. El Moussa” inked on her hip in February 2021. 

Other stars have made tattoos a family affair, getting designs that give a special shoutout to their children. Tori Spelling, for example, has each of her kid’s initials written above a small heart on her forearm. 

The 90210 actress shares children Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn and Beau with Dean McDermott. 

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend also have designs that give a sweet nod to daughter Luna and son Miles. 

“Hey guys please don’t talk to us unless u have tattoos,” the Cravings author wrote on Instagram in 2019. “We are a cool tattoo family now and we only want to talk to other tattoo families (sorry if the seems harsh.).” 

Teigen and the “All of Me” singer got “johnlunamiles” and “chrissylunamiles” inked on their respective forearms. 

That said, tattoos for love don’t always pan out. Take Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande. While the two were dating, the comedian had the pop star’s Dangerous Woman artwork inked behind his ear and the “7 Rings” singer had “Pete” inked on her finger. 

After their split, both the SNL host and the singer, who is married to Dalton Gomez, covered the ink with black hearts. 

Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox were faced with a similar scenario, as the former couple had each other’s names inked on their bodies.

Jen Shah

Two days before reporting for prison in February 2023, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star revealed a new tattoo honoring her husband, Sharrieff Shah, and sons Sharrieff Jr. and Omar. The ink shows her family's names rendered on her right forearm in looping cursive.  "You are my everything," the Bravo personality captioned an Instagram photo of the body art.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck

“Commitment ♾️,” Lopez wrote via Instagram on Valentine's Day 2023. In addition to some sweet photos of her and Affleck, she showed off an infinity tattoo along her left ribcage. Another still revealed ink that appears to belong to Affleck. The ink includes two arrows crossing over each other with the letters “J” and “B” — seemingly standing for “Jennifer” and “Ben.”

Andrew Le Page

In addition to the couple’s matching rose tattoos, the Love Island UK season 8 alum inked a tribute to Tasha, who has a cochlear implant, on his arm in October 2022.

“So Andrew came home and surprised me with his new tattoo, I actually can’t even!!!!!!! How beautiful 😭😭😭 it’s ‘ily’ in BSL with my cochlear implant wrapped around,” Tasha tweeted.

Rosie O’Donnell’s girlfriend unveiled a tattoo of the letter “R” in July 2022 on her arm that honors the A League of Their Own actress.

Pete Davidson

In July 2022, the King of Staten Island star revealed that he got a tattoo of the Disney characters Jasmine and Aladdin to honor his first kiss with Kim Kardashian, who he started dating in October 2021. Davidson also has a tattoo that reads, "My girl is a lawyer" and a brand of Kim's first name.

Inking his love. The producer decided to get fianceé Porsha Williams’ name tattooed in script on his upper back during a January 2022 trip to Costa Rica. 

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum debuted the design via her Instagram. “Awe I’m so excited your very first tattoo is my name. My ride or die through thick or thin, this love will stand strong until the end,” the Bravo personality captioned her post.

Brooklyn Beckham

No such thing as too many! In December 2021, the model added to his already-extensive tattoo collection, as revealed in a post shared to his fiancee's Instagram Story. The ink, which lives on the top of his hand, reads "our little bubble," and is seemingly a tribute to his future wife.

Randall Emmett

Love for Lala Kent! The producer, who is married to the Vanderpump Rules star, subtly debuted his new “lala” tattoo while showing off daughter Ocean’s tie-dye beanie on the Give Them Lala Baby Instagram in September 2021. 

Shortly after, Kent reposted the video to her Instagram Stories. “Yes, this video is about Ocean’s lewwwwk … buuuut did anyone see the little surprise in the video … on Rand’s arm … I’m shook,” she captioned the clip.

Making it permanent. The singer and her rapper boyfriend, whose real name is Larry, took their love to the next level in November 2021 by getting face tattoos of each other’s names. “Bestfriend,” Walker captioned her Instagram photo.

"I got a tattoo. I think it's a great way to show when you love someone," Williams shared on Fox's Dish Nation in May 2021. "I got my fiancé's middle name tattooed on my neck."

The reality star, who got engaged to Simon Guobadia earlier that month, explained why she chose that particular spot.

"Right here, it don't hurt," she added. "I don't like no pain. Right here it doesn't hurt and, you know, I think that's cute."

To celebrate her 25 year anniversary to husband Mark Consuelos, the Live With Kelly and Ryan host had her anniversary, “5.1.96,” inked on her inner arm. “Clean mani and fine lines,” Ripa captioned her May 2021 Instagram Story, showing off her nude nails and new tattoo.

A mother’s love! The 90210 star had each of her kid’s initials inked above a dainty heart on her forearm in May 2021. “Showing my love for my babies with this new tattoo,” she captioned the Instagram Story.

Nicola Peltz

The model debuted some new ink to show her love for fiancé Brooklyn Beckham in April 2021, getting “Brooklyn” written in delicate script on her back.

On November 22, 2020, the Jennifer's Body actress hit the AMAs red carpet showcasing a tattoo on her collarbone that reads, "el pistolero." This translates to the gunman, leaving many to suspect that the new ink is for her new beau, Machine Gun Kelly.

The former E! News reporter and the actor made permanent ink gestures for each other after rekindling their relationship in July 2019. “Nick’s most recent [tattoo] is “Cathy Ann” in script positioned near his wrist,” Sadler told Us Weekly at the time. The TV personality, who previously only had tattoos for her children, revealed that she also had L.A.-based artist East Iz tattoo “LNL,” which is short for “Logan Nicholas LaKind,” on her forearm.

The Game actress got a portrait of her late boyfriend, Nipsey Hussle, tattooed on her arm in April 2019. “Real Love Never Dies,” she captioned a picture of the ink on Instagram. “When you see me, you will always see him #LoveYouHussle #TMC.” Hussle was shot and killed outside his store in Los Angeles days prior.

“Hey guys please don’t talk to us unless u have tattoos,” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model wrote on Instagram in April 2019. “We are a cool tattoo family now and we only want to talk to other tattoo families (srry if this seems harsh).” She and the EGOT winner inked each other’s names on their forearms in black script, as well as their children’s. Teigen's read, “johnlunamiles,” while Legend’s read, “chrissylunamiles.”

Riverdale star Mendes shared a photo of her beau, Melton, who also stars on the hit CW series, showing off a chest tattoo of her name on Thursday, February 14. Though it’s unclear whether the ink is the real deal or not, it still spoke volumes of their love. The pair confirmed their relationship in October 2018.

It was revealed in September 2018 that the couple seemed to sport twinning infinity sign tattoos. The actress was spotted with the ink at the Venice Film Festival while the Coldplay frontman was photographed in Los Angeles at the S.E.A. Jeans launch in August. Glee alum Lea Michele got the number 5 inscribed on the side of her rib cage. As fans of the Fox musical series know, 5 was the number on the back of Finn Hudson’s football jersey at McKinley High. Michele’s late boyfriend and former costar, Cory Monteith, played the beloved jock on the Fox musical series from 2009 until he tragically died at age 30 in July 2013.
