Ian in Your Ear: Meet Los Campesinos!

If last year ushered in the era of inventive, uneasy-to-define rock hodgepodge, this year will continue the trend. Here's Los Campesinos! to start the year off right.

The band's newest disc, Romance Is Boring, is out on January 26 and it is a keeper. Definitely their best work, the disc features rockin' beats with strings, electronica and monster choruses as featured on the single, "There Are Listed Buildings." It's pure punk with some major twists and turns (think Huggy Bear and Pussycat Trash but with a little Animal Collective and Yeah Yeah Yeah's thrown in -- and a whole lotta of other stuff).
