I am friend with a family who are little people. The mother and father are both little people, and of their two children their eldest daughter is a little person. They volunteer for this kind of stuff all the time and always tell me how fun it is and how they have a good time. They never once said they felt offended or exploited. And yea, they have actually been elves before for Santa Claus at the mall! People need to stop jumping to conclusions and defending other peoples rights where its not needed, you do not KNOW these people and how they feel, you do not KNOW their position on the subject!
This is no different then using little people in the Wizard of Oz...everyone just needs to chill and not take this so seriously. I'm sorry but elves and usually smaller people - what if they used children instead - I'm sure all of you would have had a problem with that as well - child labor laws, etc, etc. I don't believe this pic should be taking so seriously....
I agree that it is a little distasteful and slightly tacky, however, the little people are obviously doing a job and getting paid for it. I think Jenny looks great! She is obviously happy with her life!!
