Their Blossoming Romance

"So, this is how it went down with me and Pete. I did Saturday Night Live and then when we kissed in a scene it was just a vibe. I was like, 'Oh s–t. Maybe I just need to try something different.' But Pete does not come to my afterparty and everyone was at my afterparty. He is not giving me the time of day," Kim revealed during a confessional interview in June 2022.

The businesswoman admitted that she was the one to reach out to her now-boyfriend. "So, a few days later I called the producer at SNL and was like, 'Hey do you have Pete's number?' I text him," she shared. "I wasn't even thinking, 'I am going to be in a relationship with him.' I was just thinking, 'Heard about this BDE, I need to get out there.' I was basically DTF [down to f–k]."

Keeping Things Low-Key

For the California native, there was one major reason she didn't discuss her connection with Pete sooner. "Honestly, I just feel like I want to really make sure and not just be like, 'Oh my God, I met someone' and start talking about it on a show. Then if we weren't talking months later, I would be like an idiot or a whore," she joked to the cameras during an episode in June 2022.

"Pete has got to be literally the best human being I have ever met. Like, the best heart. People will always say, 'Oh, he is so funny and it has to do with how funny he is.' And that is, like, fourth on my list of why I like him," Kim gushed after revealing their romance on The Kardashians. "He always wants the best for people, he can handle anything and he always does it with grace. He is really, really thoughtful, humble and so genuine. I would say the perfect word to describe Pete is genuine."

A Different Bond

During a conversation with her sisters, Kim revealed why her relationship with Pete was so different.

"I never knew that you could just be so happy watching a TV series and going to the gym. From someone that I never thought would even go to the gym or has been to the gym before," she told Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian. "I actually don't care if I go out like this and have no makeup on. It is the most refreshing feeling to not feel [like I have to always be perfect]."

Kourtney and Khloe showed their support for Pete's impact on Kim during an episode of their reality series.

"Kim is so happy and just seems so much lighter. It is like a breath of fresh air," the Good American cofounder said. Meanwhile, Kourtney, had a funnier take on Kim's man, joking, "I have definitely noticed that Kim is happier. She is so much nicer now. Thank you, Pete! I am so into this new Kim."

"I am not chasing anything and that is the best feeling. Whether it is at the beginning of your career chasing fame, chasing money, chasing a relationship or chasing happiness. Like, it is just all here," Kim detailed on The Kardashians. "When I turned 40 everyone said it is the best sex of your life."

In June 2022, Kim offered a glimpse at her simple dates with the former SNL star. "We went to the movies in Staten Island and all I wanted was Dibs. I am obsessed with Dibs but you can only get them at gas stations these days," she explained after Pete had the snack delivered to her on a flight. "But is it sweet or is it being a dick because I have a swimsuit shoot? And I shouldn't have eaten that."

“Kim found a guy who’s a great guy. He’s so sweet,” Scott Disick told Khloé during an episode in June 2022. “[He] does so much. He picked us up from the airport the other day, like, [with] the coffee she wanted. Had a coffee for me — I didn't want to tell him it’s the completely wrong one. He’s just a great person. In June 2022, Khloé reflected on her own experience with Kim's boyfriend.

"I am going to space. No, [Jeff Bezos is not going with me], which is concerning. I'm making [a will] now," he joked, adding that he wasn't worried about the travel event. "My personal life is scarier. To be completely honest, I can't wait to get the f--k away from everybody. I think I am going to stay up there, babe."

Up Close and Personal

During season 2, Kim recalled a steamy moment between her and her then-boyfriend.

"Pete and I were staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel last weekend and we were sitting in front of the fireplace just talking for hours," she told her grandmother Mary Jo Campbell. "And I was like, 'My grandmother told me that you really live life when you have sex in front of the fireplace,’ so we had sex in front of the fireplace in honor of you."

Later in the episode, Kris and Khloé freaked out and assumed Kim got engaged to Pete when she said she had big news.

After the KKW Beauty founder clarified that the update was about his space trip, her mother praised the comedian, saying, "Pete is amazing. No drama, no stress, he is just Pete. He fits in with the family. I think Kim is happy — she laughs and she is more confident. Pete brings out the best in her."

A Milestone Moment

During an episode of The Kardashians in October 2022, Kim addressed Pete's decision not to film for her show.

"When cameras are on him it is like a skit or a role. It is not what he does. I will obviously talk about what is going on in my life and he is a part of that," she detailed. "But I also respect that this is my job and this isn't his job. You might get a glimpse here and there, but it is what it is."

In a November 2022 episode of The Kardashians, Davidson made his first onscreen appearance alongside his then-girlfriend. The comedian reflected on how the couple crossed paths at the Met Gala in 2021.

"Remember when I asked for your number at the last Met and you pretended that you couldn't give it to me because you had your gloves on?" he asked the beauty mogul. "It was actually the nicest excuse ever. I knew it was an excuse, but I remember being in the car like, 'Wow, she knows how to make someone feel really good about themselves.’ I thought that was really sweet."

The reality star, for her part, said she wished she knew they would meet again, adding, "Will you ask me again this time? I don't have gloves on."
