Nothing to "Get Happy" about here. Partridge Family star David Cassidy was arrested shortly after midnight on Wednesday, Aug. 21, for driving while intoxicated, ABC News and other outlets report. He has since been released from police custody.

According to TMZ, the 63-year-old actor/singer was pulled over outside Albany for driving with his high beams. The arresting officer -- named Tom Jones -- reportedly smelled alcohol on Cassidy's breath and administered a field sobriety test, which the star did not pass.

The Schodack Police Department tells ABC News that Cassidy -- who is also dad to Arrow actress Katie Cassidy -- was then arraigned and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail. He was released later on $2,500 bail.

As a result of the incident, the former teen idol now faces a felony DWI charge. He was previously arrested for a DUI in Florida in November 2010.
