Gold Medalist Shaun White Already Mulling 2014 Olympics
Shaun White is up for a hat trick!
The star snowboarder -- who won his second men's halfpipe gold medal on Wednesday -- appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday. Oprah Winfrey had personally requested the iconic sportsman to appear on her show following his Vancouver triumph.
White, 23, admitted to Winfrey that he's thought "a little bit" about a third Olympic run at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. (The redhead won his first gold medal at the 2006 Winter Games in Turin, Italy.)
"Why would I not want to experience this again?" White, a.k.a. the "Flying Tomato" and "The Animal" said.
The athlete won his second gold with a remarkable trick known as the Double McTwist 1260 -- two board-over-heard-flips inside of 3.5 turns.
The redheaded San Diego, Calif. native was inspired to try the daredevil move after a wiping out during practice at January's Winter X Games.
"I'll be a guy to not give up, to not quit easily. I got back up," he explained.
