Keeping up with the accounting!

Kim Kardashian is safeguarding her savings before saying "I do" to fiance Kris Humphries. "Her mom, Kris Jenner, drew up the contracts," a source tells Us Weekly.

"Kim's Beverly Hills home and all of her assets are protected," the insider says of Kardashian, 30, who Forbes estimates made $12 million in 2010.

"Additionally, she keeps anything she earns during the marriage."

The groom-to-be, 26 (who makes $3.2 million a year as a New Jersey Nets forward), seems cool with the contract's terms.

"He does not receive anything if the marriage fails," continues the source. (The pair dated for 6 months before Humphries proposed with a 20.5 carat ring.) "He agreed to that. He's not worried."

@Deanna ... just tell me how stupid is that what you just said. That is how the conversations turn to race instead of what the real subject is .... hell go get u some dark meat and stfu.

I wonder what all the commotion is about SO WHAT ???!!! Kim K getting married after she has dated most of cali so oh well not very exciting ... another spoiled star getting married who will end up getting a divorce the minute things don't go her way . So tired of famous people getting married they think it is a disposable thing to do , the minute someone in the relationship wants something or someone else we all get to read about it . Thank god in the real world marriages do last . You can't buy marriage or happiness with millions .

Stop the hate and the jealousy! It's smart that she's protecting herself. Look at Britney feeding K-fed now..I'm sure most celebs have pre-nups. You people are just jealous. We never know what the future holds so it doesn't hurt to protect yourself!

@ Deanna--what a stupid remark--Kris is part black but apparently you didn't know that..I don't blame her for having a pre-nup--anyone with substantial financial assets should nowadays...

  • June 10, 2011 - 8:50am Mary Sanford

to lennie ross-HELLO! he would be in a HUGE financial hole if they divorced. anyway,he's kinda crazy if he agrees on something stupid like that.

She will stay married to him long enough to get a white baby out of him, then it's back to the dark meat, that's what the prenup is all about. She is trash, always will be.

i think that kris should mind her business and leave her daughter alone and let her make her own mind . look kim is not a little girl anymore she is going to marry a good man i hope that this marriage doesn't destroy this love if it does then it's all kris fault

  • June 09, 2011 - 6:13pm Lennie Ross

Good for her! It rarely happens where the woman is the bread winner in the pair. Go Kim! Lennie Ross

  • June 09, 2011 - 6:01pm Guadalupe Escareno

I can't really hate on her. I got married to my hunny after 6months of dating and we have been married for the last 7 yrs.

Why is it that when men insist on prenups they are labelled as selfish scumbags, but when women insist on prenups they are prudently protecting their assets?

  • June 09, 2011 - 4:18pm Tamera Stankowski

A prenup isn't that shocking. I don't see why it is a bad thing. On E's website it said the prenup also says Kim doesn't get anything of Kris' (he partially owns some businesses with his family in MN) so it is just protecting each of their assets. Even if you think it will work out you never know. Look at Jessica Simpson and Nick Lache, Jess didn't get a prenup because she thought it would be happily ever after and she ended up having to pay up big time to Nick.

  • June 09, 2011 - 4:08pm Tracy Lloyd

I don't see Kim's and Kris's marriage actually working out because Kim can't stay away too long from the dark meat (if you know what I mean). I'm sorry...but I have to keep it real.

  • June 09, 2011 - 3:12pm Michelle Pimentel

I know that a pre-nup sounds like youre already planning to divorce, but the reality is that most people go into a marriage either knowing their partner or thinking that they know their partner(they would NEVER do this to me! I know them!),but people change sometimes, unfortunatly sometimes for the worse, so I dont blame anyone for doing a prenup!Buuuuut if I may add, if there is ever cheating involved the cheating spouse should PAY UP!:-)

  • June 09, 2011 - 3:06pm Karla Craig Dishon

What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine. I do hope that he ALSO gets to keep what he earned during the marriage. After all he makes less millions.

  • June 09, 2011 - 2:28pm Annie Mueller

Either the wedding wont happen or it wont last. Kim is too high-maintance for a sweet Minnesota guy like Kris. Who needs a 20+ carit ring??? REALLY??? The ring alone was probably $3.2 million and that's what he makes in a YEAR! She is greedy and it is all about the money for her. I agree...if he was the bread winner, the terms would be completely different!

  • June 09, 2011 - 1:47pm Benita Jones Christian

this is a lie! they dont know anything!

  • June 09, 2011 - 1:30pm Elizabeth Aspen

Already planning the divorce, eh? Sorry Kim, if you have a pre-nup, then you don't trust the person you're marrying, therefore you have the fake relationship everyone knows it to be. That's what happens when you marr

    oops i meant wouldn't*
