Most people would grimace getting underwear for a present -- but not Patrick Dempsey.
On Thursday's Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Valentine's Day star, 44, says he can't stop wearing Ellen undies around the house.

"It is a great gift," he says. "You get this wonderful gift that says 'Ellen' right here on the band. It is fantastic underwear."

To celebrate Valentine's Day, DeGeneres slips him some red velvet boxers, silk boxers, rubber boxers and an Ellen thong, which he happily tries on.
"Keep those on," DeGeneres tells him. "You will always have my support."

I acutally saw him in full frontal nudity in person when he was filming With Honors on the University of Illinois campus in 1994. I was an extra. I wish we had phones with cameras back then.
