About

Bobby Zarin was a businessman and reality TV personality best known as the husband of The Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin and the longtime owner of New York’s Zarin Fabrics. Bobby was raised in New York and later joined his family’s home furnishings business. He did not earn public recognition through entertainment but built his reputation in the textile industry before becoming a familiar face on reality television.

Bobby inherited the family business founded by his father, helping expand it into a well-known destination for home furnishings and fabrics used in residential and television set design. His profile grew after marrying Jill and appearing on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City beginning in 2008, where viewers got to know him as a supportive presence alongside his wife.

In addition to The Real Housewives of New York City, Bobby later appeared on Celebrity Wife Swap and The Apprentice. He became a fan favorite through his reality TV appearances and remained closely associated with the Bravo franchise throughout his career.

Bobby married Jill Zarin in January 2000, and they remained together until his death in 2018. He had three children from a previous marriage: Jonathan, David and Jennifer. He was also stepfather to Jill’s daughter, Allyson Shapiro.

Bobby died on January 13, 2018, after a battle with thyroid cancer.
