'Sex and the City' Men: Where Are Chris Noth, John Corbett and More Now?

Big! Aidan! The men of Sex and the City stole the show just as much as the HBO hit’s four leading ladies. From Chris Noth to John Corbett and more, the fellas have gone on to great things since the show ended its six-season run and spawned two movies. Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) stirred up plenty of trouble in their love lives, with the help of everyone from boyfriends to husbands to best guy pals. The drama found its way offscreen too. Mario Cantone, who played Anthony Marantino, made his feelings known after a third film was put on the backburner. “It’s not gonna get done!” he said during a November 2017 appearance on The Wendy Williams Show. “And yes, we’re all very upset about it. I’m very pissed off about it.” The actor added: “Some of us needed the freaking work! So it’s really upsetting.” [sendtonews type="float" key="umXqK9pYFF-2838592-14453"] Cattrall was initially blamed for the canceled project, leading to speculation of a feud between the Tell Me a Story actress and Parker. The Divorce star denied the rift rumors in April 2018. Jason Lewis, for his part, was unaffected by the ordeal. “I didn’t really think much of it at all. People like to make mountains out of molehills and I didn’t really pay that much attention to it,” he told Us Weekly exclusively in October 2018. “I don’t pay much attention to derogatory rancor if I can avoid it. We’ve got enough of it floating around the world, so I don’t try to promote and I try to pay attention to it very little.” The actor played Smith Jerrod on the series. Sex and the City aired on HBO from 1998 to 2004. The first film debuted in 2008, while the sequel, Sex and the City 2, premiered in 2010. While a third film never happened without Cattrall, the world of Sex and the City will return in a revival show. Many of the men will join Parker, Nixon and Davis to reprise their roles in the HBO Max sequel series, And Just Like That, which started filming in July 2021. John Corbett (Aidan Shaw)

Corbett reprised his rom-com role in 2016’s My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. He also starred in Raising Helen, I Hate Valentine’s Day and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before as well as had recurring roles on United States of Tara, Parenthood and Portlandia. A country crooner, he released two albums and has lived the ranching life with partner Bo Derek since 2002. He’ll return as Aiden in And Just Like That.

Chris Noth (Mr. Big)

Noth co-owns a live music venue called The Cutting Room in New York City. His most memorable roles since SATC include playing Peter Florrick on The Good Wife and Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order. He stars as Frank Novak in the limited series Gone. He and wife Tara Wilson share son Orion. He’ll reunite with Parker as they reprise their roles as Big and Carrie for And Just Like That.

Willie Garson (Stanford Blatch)

Garson has starred in more than 300 episodes of TV (from White Collar to Hawaii 5-0) and 300 films (such as 2019’s Walk to Vegas) and is a world-champion poker player. He adopted a 7-year-old boy named Nathen in 2010.

Tragically, the actor died at age 57 in September 2021. Garson was spotted filming And Just Like That a month before his passing.

Ron Livingston (Jack Berger)

Livingston has appeared in The Conjuring, Drinking Buddies and The Time Traveler’s Wife and has roles on A Million Little Things, Boardwalk Empire, Loudermilk, The Romanoffs and Search Party. He adopted daughters Gracie and Esperanza with wife Rosemarie DeWitt in 2013 and 2016, respectively.

Kyle MacLachlan (Trey MacDougal)

The Golden Globe winner reprised his iconic role as Dale Cooper in 2017’s Twin Peaks: The Return and has starred in Desperate Housewives, Portlandia and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., among others. He co-owns a wine label and is the father of son Callum with wife Desiree Gruber.

Mikhail Baryshnikov (Aleksandr Petrovsky)

Baryshnikov returned to the screen in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, a TV movie called Place and Doll & Em, in which he played himself. “Misha” is known as the greatest male ballet dancer of the 20th century and is the artistic director of the Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York City.

The Latvia native shares daughter Aleksandra “Shura” (born in 1981) with ex Jessica Lange. He is also father to Peter (born in 1989), Anna (born in 1992) and Sofia-Luisa (born in 1994), whom he shares with wife Lisa Rinehart.

Evan Handler (Harry Goldenblatt)

Handler has appeared in American Crime Story, The Astronaut Wives Club, Power, The Good Fight, The Breaks and Californication, in which he played the pal of SATC guest star David Duchovny. He has written two books and is married to Elisa Atti, with whom he shares daughter Sofia.

He will return as Charlotte’s husband in And Just Like That.

Mario Cantone (Anthony Marantino)

Cantone is a Broadway star and Comedy Central regular who appeared on The President Show. His one-man show, Tony-nominated Laugh Whore, was the first of its kind to air on Showtime. He married his longtime partner, Jerry Dixon, in 2011. He will return as Anthony, husband to Garson’s Stanford, in And Just Like That.

James Remar (Richard Wright)

Remar played Dexter’s father in Dexter and Giuseppe Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries. He stars in The CW’s Black Lightning and is also known for his voiceover work, including Justice League Unlimited. His partner is Yuka Kojima.

Jason Lewis (Smith Jerrod)

The actor debuted a rugged new look in June 2020 during his appearance on Australia's The Morning Show. Lewis showed off his short brown hair, mustache and beard — a sharp contrast from the long blonde locks and fresh-faced look he sported on the HBO show.

Since wrapping his role in the 2010 SATC sequel movie, he starred in the films Half Magic and Palm Swings, and he has popped up on many TV shows, including How I Met Your Mother, Hit the Floor and Midnight, Texas.

David Eigenberg (Steve Brady)

The former Marine has shown up in multiple episodes of popular shows, including Castle, NCIS, Everwood and Without a Trace. He played Christopher Herrmann on Chicago Fire from 2012 to 2019. He and wife Chrysti Eigenberg are parents of son Louie and daughter Myrna. He will reprise his role as Brady’s father and Miranda’s longtime love in And Just Like That.

Blair Underwood (Dr. Robert Leeds)

Underwood has starred in Quantico, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., In Treatment, Madea’s Family Reunion and The Trip to Bountiful, for which he won the NAACP Image Award. He earned a 2020 Tony nomination for best actor for his performance in A Soldier’s Play, and he directed the psychological thriller Viral in 2021. He shares son Paris, daughter Brielle and son Blake with his wife, Desiree DaCosta.
