Patrick Swayze sure is keeping busy.

The cancer-stricken actor will write a memoir, his rep confirms to Swayze's wife, Lisa, will collaborate on the book with him. His plan to become an author, first reported by Entertainment Weekly, comes less than one week after the actor was released from the hospital after checking in with pneumonia. Reports that the book would be an inspirational-type tome are untrue, his rep tells Us. Swayze's rep does not know when it will be released. Sources say he is still in the process of meeting with publishers.

Last year, the actor, 56, revealed he had Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The premiere of his A&E series, The Beast -- which Swayze says to have only missed one-and-a-half days of filming -- was Jan. 15.
