  Any normal mother who doesn't want all the attention herself, would give her child a drink. This is typical of her though. I don't think she would be allowed by kate to get her own drink anyway. Kate always wants to be the centre of attention, and that is probably half the problem with her and jon. I mean, look at how she used to speak to him, embarassing to say the least!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  OK, Who of us here has not told their kids to wait a minute or to hold their horses. Would the Mom who buys orgqnic everthing really let her kids go without the best drink God has to offer? Maybe for a few minutes, that's all. I would have used different words though/ Anyway isn't Maddy one of the older ones? By the time you are 8 or so you should be getting your own water? Mothers should not slaves nor should she be for the sake of the child when she grows up. Been thirsty before for a little bit, and it didn't kill me.

  I can't believe someone actually had the nerves to call Mady a brat. She's a kid and she wants a drink, so she says so. Kate was being a total stuck up beotch by drinking in front of her. I've never seen anything so rude in my entire life. It can only be intentional! My mother and many other mothers would actually have given the kids a drink before they drank themselves! That was so embarrassing to even look at. I cannot believe how someone with so many children can be so selfish and immature. It's disgusting. I hope she disappears off the face of the earth. Kate and Jon are both terrible parents. It's a shame.

  Cookie; with the stress Jon and Kate had of having that many children, and mind you not Jon's choice; she certainly made enough trips leaving Jon home to parent the children - obviously at that time he was an exceptional parent, according to Kate's own words, did she really believe with the attitude and way she treated him that he would be her house boy forever

  Sweets and Sweetjones, as someone who has worked with children I can assure you I get it that children can't always have what they want, however, when a mother has time to have a drink there is no reason a child should not be afforded the same opportunity - precisely you cannot possible know what is going on inside the family and i have found that children, although sometimes bratty, can be brutally honest.

  I hope we never have to see or hear from Kate again. I was really angry when I turned the TV on the other day to the TLC channel and got re-runs of Kate & Jon Plus 8. Give me a break - I want them OFF the air for GOOD - not have to look at re-runs for the next 5 years.

  Who cares about this woman!! Obviously, Barbara Walters is grooming her to become a polished woman with a talk show. Ms. Walters stated that 'she is smart and will go far..' Please just because she had all those kids does not make her a special woman, she has had help which is why she wants the show to continue so the manny-peddy's can continue as well as her guard, her stylist, etc..And as far as the H2O, we would deny race horses water so they wouldn't have to urinate during the race. Kate did her request for water just not fitting into your schedule or is that how you are 'raising' them.
