Born Randall Ives Emmett in Miami, Florida, Randall Emmett studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City before he moved out to Los Angeles. Emmett was a personal assistant to Mark Wahlberg in 1995 at the start of his career. The filmmaker cofounded his company in 1998 and has produced projects including The Amityville Horror, Rambo, Heist, Gotti, The Row, The Irishman and Midnight in the Switchgrass.
The Wash Me in the River director was married to Ambyr Childers from 2009 to 2017. They share daughters London (born in 2010) and Riley (born in 2013).
Emmett was first publicly linked to Lala Kent in 2017 after they met two years prior. The director proposed to the reality star in 2018. Two years later, the couple confirmed that they were expecting their first child together. They welcomed daughter Ocean in March 2021.
