The reality star announced in April 2018 that she filed for divorce from the former NFL player after nearly nine years of marriage. The pair share son Hank IV and daughter Alijah. Since their divorce was finalized in February 2019, the Girls Next Door alum hasn't gotten serious with anyone. She has, however, been very clear about what she doesn't want. The Kendra on Top alum focused on rebuilding herself nearly one month after her split. “I feel like going on a romantic dinner date by myself and bringing my dildo,” she wrote on her Instagram Story in April 2018. She later tweeted: “I’m going to do it this week I think. I’m going to [wear] a dress, put on makeup and go on a date by myself. Table for one at 8pm. LBD, red wine, maybe some jazz, n then… #mood.”

“I am done tweeting about hank out of respect for my kids. Love will always win and he’s a great guy… we will all be fine after this hurdle is over,” the former Girls Next Door star tweeted in June 2018, adding: “I think i just need some d—k.”

After some consideration, Wilkinson told her Instagram followers in November 2018 that she had ditched the idea of looking for a significant other. “Been dating myself lately. Getting to know myself and even falling in love,” she wrote. “Love and happiness is real without waiting on someone or something to do it for you. Been taking a lot of patience, empathy, and discipline…. well, except with the d—k head I flipped off on the road the other day…”

The Sliding Into Home author opened up to Us Weekly and other reporters about men reaching out to her amid her divorce. “Honestly, I actually have a lot of text messages,” she said in December 2018. “Guys are hitting me up, but I want nothing to do with it.” She added that she would rather “Netflix and chill with my wine” or “build a computer and do nerdy things and game” than go out.

Wilkinson shot down romance rumors in January 2019 after she was spotted holding hands with Bachelorette alum Chad Johnson. “We had a lot to catch up on after about 2 days of her being MIA,” she captioned an Instagram pic of herself and pal Jessica Hall. “Filled her in about these recent annoying rumors and how my vagina is still very closed up.”

“The start of my show and the start of filming was [also] the start of my new … journey,” Wilkinson exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2021 of dating on her new show Kendra Sells Hollywood. “Everything just started all at once, including the decision to start dating. It just kinda happened. When those cameras turned on — and I was ready to start my new career — all my confidence just came back all at once. I don't know what happened. It wasn't ego. It was confidence.”

The mother of two noted that her Discovery+ series is “all real” and will show her real estate career and love life post-split. “Hopefully I do get to, you know, unfold this new journey and meet someone and love someone and marry someone,” she explained. “I love to be married. I would marry again for sure.”
