A Surprise Pregnancy
In September, Us Weekly exclusively broke the news that Teen Mom OG’s Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are expecting baby No. 3. “It was a huge shock at first. We were not planning it, especially after the miscarriage and how I went downhill with my mental illness,” she told Us. The couple later found out that they’re expecting a baby girl, who will be named Tezlee.

Burt Reynolds Dies
On September 6, Boogie Nights star Burt Reynolds died at the age of 82, Us Weekly reported first. The Oscar nominee went into cardiac arrest at a hospital in Florida, surrounded by his family.

A Brief Engagement
On June 11, Us Weekly exclusively broke the news that Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande got engaged after a few weeks of dating. “They are a perfect fit. They are not rushing to get married. Their friends are really excited and supportive,” a source told Us at the time. However, the relationship did not last and the two broke it off in October.

A Bachelor Baby
Arie Luyendyk Jr. and fiancée Lauren Burnham revealed their exciting news exclusively to Us Weekly in November 2018: They’re expecting their first child together! The couple shared photos of their sonogram with Us, and revealed that the racecar driver “had tears in his eyes” when seeing the pregnancy test. The couple, who got engaged during the After the Final Rose special in March, are set to tie the knot in January 2019 in Hawaii.

Never Give Up?
John Cena and Nikki Bella shocked everyone in April 2018, revealing exclusively to Us Weekly that after six years together, they were calling it quits and ending their engagement. “While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another,” the pair said in a statement at the time. While they briefly rekindled their romance, they separated for good at the end of July.

A Royal Reception
After Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry tied the knot on May 19 at Windsor Castle in England, the pair partied late into the night at Frogmore House. The evening reception included celebrity guests Idris Elba and Tom Hardy, a three-course sit-down dinner and a fireworks display.

Reality TV Tragedy
Brian Lancaster, who appeared on Road Rules: Latin America in 1999, died on March 29 at the age of 43. It was later revealed that he died due to an accidental drug overdose. The Chester County Coroner’s Office revealed that he had fentanyl, heroin and ethanol intoxication in his system at the time of his death.

Private Pregnancy
Kylie Jenner, who welcomed her first child with boyfriend Travis Scott on February 1, kept her pregnancy very secret. “She’s very happy about the pregnancy but she doesn’t want to share this with the world,” a source told Us exclusively in January. “Her not being out is strictly personal preference. She wants to keep this one aspect of her life private.”

Just one day after Khloé Kardashian welcomed her first child, daughter True, Us Weekly broke the news that her boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, had been cheating with a fifth woman for months. Just days before giving birth, photos and videos surfaced of the NBA star hooking up with other women. However, the reality star decided to forgive him and the two are living together in Cleveland.

Meet Chicago
On January 19, Kim Kardashian shared on her website that she and husband Kanye West had chosen the name Chicago for their third child. “We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister,” the pair said in a statement following the January 15 birth of Chicago.
