Re-recording "We Are the World" was a family affair for Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.
The couple brought their 2-year-old daughter, Harlow, to the Monday recording session at Jim Hensen studios in Hollywood.

"I was 4 years old in a studio watching my dad record We Are The World, & today I get to do it again. Excited to help make a change," Nicole reminisced on Twitter.

Jennifer Hudson, Kanye West, Will.i.am, Celine Dion and Snoop Dogg were among the crowd of stars who gathered to sing on the remake, which benefits Haiti earthquake relief.
"I hope Jennifer Hudson wasn't upset that I was out-singing her tonight," joked Nicole, 28.
The original Jackson tune was released in 1985 to benefit Live Aid.
