Things looked anything but tense between Courteney Cox and David Arquette on Oct. 17, when they reunited at Malibu Equestrian Park for 6-year-old daughter Coco's horse show.

Just 6 days after announcing their shocking trial separation, the estranged spouses were affectionate, exchanging hugs and tender glances as they cheered on Coco's event. "David would wrap his arm around her, and Courteney rubbed his back," an onlooker says in the new Us Weekly, out Wednesday.

Afterwards, the family celebrated at their $9.2 million Malibu home, where Cox, 46, lives with Coco (Arquette, 39, has been staying at their Beverly Hills property since the split).

Does this bode well for the future of their 11 year union? "The thing they care most about is Coco," an insider tells Us. "That's what they're saddest about. They don't want to do anything to hurt her."

Tell Us What You Think
24To me her expression is like....hmmmm whose getting the house, him or me????? That's what she's really thinking.
I REALLY hope they dont divorce I LOVE these two such a great couple. 11 years is a long time in hollywood could just be a rough patch. I hope they can work through it and stay together.
Courtney has a very expressive face and in this picture she looks sad and resigned; nowhere do I see happiness, love or reconciliation...
I wonder if this whole thing is just a PR stunt anyhow?
WHO CARES??? He knows Courteney is NOT going anywhere. They will NOT get a divorce mark my words.
I hope they can make it work. Marriage is sacred. I have always told my husband I will always love you, your my soul mate but there may be days I don't really like you. I have a sister who I "have to love," I don't always get along with her or my best friend so what would make him any different.
i hope they reunite
hope things turn out better for them.
i'd be the same way...when we're with the kid it's not about us!! It's about the kid!
My mom and dad divorced when I was 2. They never spoke ill of each other and are good friends to this day. My brother and I grew up with two loving parents that doted on us. We were some of the lucky ones. We both have step parents that were also wonderful and never stepped on the others feet. So we had 2 moms and 2 dads that loved us very much. Why can't these two do the same. Of course they look happy. They are proud of their daughter and her horse show. They are separated because they feel they need to be apart to heal or just take a break from each other for a while. I hope they work it out. They seem like lovely people who love their little girl.
It took her long enough to tell the man she knew was a child that he was a child. I wish them both the best. I never figured it would last as long as it did. At least now their daughter will be like all of the other kids in school....from a broken home.
@So Infamous: What part of "They were on a break" don't you understand? Courteney was having an emotional affair with another man and pretty much told David to cheat on her so she wouldn't feel guilty about having feelings for this man. David admitted it and hopefully Courteney can be honest about her own affairs. The only way they can put that situation behind them is if they get back together.
He admitted to sleeping with another woman! They are sooo over!
I'm crossing my fingers they're reconciling. They couldn't be happier dating anyone else. Take him back Courteney! He's so cute and you're never gonna find a man that's as real as David. =D
I agree with Kelly, she looks uninterested, its the look of "please stop talking"
they do look good together, i wish them the best.
i think these two are playing us.
This warms my heart,,they are both lovely people with good heads on their shoulders, bless them and may they find happiness together again,,
I've always liked them together...hope they can make it work!
I like them. I hope they can work things out.
