Tiger Woods to Make Public Apology at Golf Course

Tiger Woods plans to make a public apology at 11:00 am this Friday Feb. 19 at the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, his agent Mark Steinberg announced in a statement Wednesday.

Woods, 34, "will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates," the statement reads; the golfer will "discuss his past and his future and he intends to apologize for his behavior."

While the press conference will not be an "open media event," arrangements are being made to "pool" the athlete's remarks to the wider media.
