Breaking News: Tiger Woods to Make Public Apology at Golf Course

Tiger Woods plans to make a public apology at 11:00 am this Friday Feb. 19 at the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, his agent Mark Steinberg announced in a statement Wednesday.

Woods, 34, "will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates," the statement reads; the golfer will "discuss his past and his future and he intends to apologize for his behavior."

While the press conference will not be an "open media event," arrangements are being made to "pool" the athlete's remarks to the wider media.

It will be Woods' first confirmed public appearance since his adultery scandals erupted over the Thanksgiving 2009 weekend.

TW should make his apologies in private and not use a public forum that was intended for charity fundraising at Sawgrass. He did use people,obtained money off endorsements and paraded a lifestyle that was false. This is a year to miss Sawgrass.
Being one who hates golf anyway,I certianly do not care for Tiger.Yes he needs to make apologies to his wife,children,mother and his fans but none of them should be expected to accept it or to forgive him for all he has done to them....what a role model for all the young people who look up to him!! Sorry about that, but to continue: he has let down many young fans who wanted to be just like him. I really hope that the ones he let down will somehow find another hero to look up to and won't let Tiger's shame and disgrace keep them from believing that there are really great athletes out there to look up to.

The only way he would get any of my respect is if he announced he was taking a couple of years off to focus on reparing his relationships with his family. But u can bet a narcissist will always putting their own desires first.
I am glad he is coming back the networks and golf have suffered without him. This incident was between he and his family and it is left up to him who he chooses to make an apology to. I have prayed for weeks for Tiger Woods to break his silence so that he and Elin can move on with their life. I just hope that whatever Tiger and Elin decide to do in the future will work the best for them and their two precious children.
