The women of America aren’t the only ones who appreciate Matt Lauer’s rigorous core work, according to Page Six. President Bush admired 48-year-old Lauer’s rock hard abs during an interview on the Today show. In the segment, which was taped Friday, Bush, 60, enters the Oval Office wielding a photo of a bare-chested Lauer in swim trunks on the beach.
"Oh, do not start with this,” replies Lauer. “That's just not nice [pointing to the picture]. The amazing thing is they put my head on your body."
Bush quips, "I don't spend that much time at the gym."
Talk to Us: Was it inappropriate for Bush to make jokes during a 9/11 broadcast or did you appreciate the comic relief?
Update: Apparently, that part of the segment never ran, so maybe the brass at NBC decided it was in bad form?

Of course it was in poor taste to say it during a 9/11 tribute. Was it funny??? Of course it was. Bush has a good sense of humor most of the time. I agree with the Deimos comment earlier today about how we all wanted to go in the middle east and kick some a$$. We should not be putting all of the blame on Bush. I seem to recall many servicemen running for an airport wanting to go before they were even told to.

all i'm going to say is this- wasn't the whole country up for going to war after sept 11th? i see everybody blaming bush for the war but i seem to remember EVERYBODY saying we should go blow up the middle east for attacking us. I'm not pro war or anything but you have to admit that bush was just doing what the country wanted. 5 years later the war is getting old but in the begining everybody was all for it.
