David Charvet

David Charvet is a French-American actor, singer, model and television personality best known for his roles on Baywatch and Melrose Place. Charvet was born and raised in Lyon, France, before moving to the United States at age 9. After graduating high school, he was discovered by a photographer and began modeling, later signing with Elite Model Management.

Charvet landed his breakthrough role as lifeguard Matt Brody on Baywatch in 1992, remaining with the series for three seasons. He went on to play Craig Field on Melrose Place from 1996 to 1998 before leaving acting in 1999 to pursue music. His self-titled debut album was released in 1997, followed by releases including Leap of Faith (2002) and Se laisser quelque chose (2004).

Throughout his career, his other acting credits have included films like Seduced and Betrayed (1995), Derby (1995), Angel Flight Down (1996), Meet Prince Charming (1999), Green Flash (2008) and Prisoners of the Sun (2013). His music career included singles such as “Should I Leave,” “Leap of Faith” and “Sometimes It Rains.”

In 2026, Charvet was announced as a competitor on season 5 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

Charvet dated Baywatch costar Pamela Anderson from 1992 to 1994. He began dating Brooke Burke in 2006 and they married in August 2011. They share daughter Heaven Rain (born in 2007) and son Shaya (born in 2008). The couple announced their divorce in 2018 and finalized it in March 2020. He later sparked dating rumors with Oksana Rykova.
