Miranda Cosgrove

Born May 14, 1993 in L.A., Miranda Cosgrove was discovered at the age of three when she was singing and dancing around her parents’ table at a restaurant and an agent approached her family.
Cosgrove made appearances in TV commercials, but her big break came when she beat out 1,000 other kids for a role in the movie School of Rock. The movie was a hit, and Cosgrove soon found herself playing the role of Drake’s little sister in the Nickelodeon show Drake & Josh.
The show ended in 2007, but Cosgrove had already signed to star in her own series on Nickelodeon, iCarly. Cosgrove also recorded the theme song to the show, subsequently launching her music career. She released her first solo album in 2010, which peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard charts.
At 16 years old, Cosgrove signed a $180,000 per episode contract with iCarly, making her the second highest-paid child actor on TV.
