Stephen Moyer

BIO

Making his film debut in 1997 as the lead role in Prince Valiant, which also starred Katherine Heigl, Stephen Moyer has always made his on-screen presence known. Born in 1969, the English native began his acting career in local theater.

His television break came in 2007 on USA's The Starter Wife, starring alongside Debra Messing.

Jumping on the vampire bandwagon, Moyer joined the cast of True Blood in 2008, starring as Bill Compton--the sensitive and brooding vampire, who falls in love with Sookie Stackhouse, played by Anna Paquin.

The onscreen love affair soon became reality when Moyer and Paquin began dating. In August of 2009, the couple announced their engagement, but have not set a date.

Moyer has two children from previous relationships: Billy, born in 2000, and Lilac, born in 2002.
