A debit card tied to the Kardasians has been canceled.

The reality sibs - Kim, Khloe and Kourtney - launched it Nov. 10, but sales were scrapped Monday because the prepaid MasterCard-branded card carried "outrageous" fees -- which is bad news for the financially irresponsible who may buy it.

In a statement Monday, the Kardashians' lawyer said: "The Kardashians have worked extremely long and hard to create a positive public persona that appeals to everyone, particularly young adults. Unfortunately, the negative spotlight turned on the Kardashians as a result of the Attorney General's comments and actions threatens everything for which they have worked."

The 250 consumers who own the card need not worry: They may continue using it for 30 days (thereafter they would receive refunds of balances and up-front fees).

Jennifer Areli-They are never going to go away because people LOVE THEM! YOU may not love them...but people do. And they DO have a HIT TV SHOW. So that makes them relevant.

"the negative spotlight turned on the Kardashians as a result of the Attorney General's comments.." NO, the negative spotlight happened when people realized how outrageous this card was and how greedy the people behind it are! I personally went to the site and read the terms and there was so much jargon I couldnt understand a thing besides seeing the word 'charges' and dollar signs all over the place. I dont know if they're so 'wealthy' themselves that they think normal people can afford to spend $100 just to own a card but they're delusional. I'm assuming they read the terms and signed off on it or their image wouldnt have been on there and they wouldnt have been promoting it. And sorry, but anyone stupid enough to buy the card deserves to have their money taken from them and get no refund!

Glad to hear the suckers are getting those outrageous fees back....Fools & their money soon part. It took me less than one minute to call BS on that card. WHY would someone want to throw their money away? I don't get it.
