Julia Louis-Dreyfus went public with her breast cancer diagnosis in September 2017 via Instagram. Nearly one year later, she had successfully beaten the illness and returned to work on Veep.

“It sounds kind of corny, but there’s something about after you’ve walked through something like this, which is such a crisis, to be able to help someone who’s then going through,” she told Good Morning America in 2019. “It really is something that I’m happy to do.”

Cynthia Nixon underwent her own breast cancer battle after being diagnosed in 2006. Two years later, revealed that she was cancer-free.

“The only thing to really be afraid of is if you don’t go get your mammograms, because there’s some part of you that doesn’t want to know, and that’s the thing that’s going to trip you up,” she said on Nightline in 2008. “That’s the thing that could have a really bad endgame.”

Hathaway, 43, opened up about the swirling facelift rumors while chatting with Elle in a new interview published on Thursday, May 21. “We’re at a time when people feel very confident in assuming what they think is fact, and sometimes what they think is accurate and sometimes it’s not,” she said, noting that she gets her snatched look thanks to her hairdresser, who braids two sections of her hair near her temple and pins them back.

“My preference would be to never comment on anything and to just live in the mystery and not draw attention to myself, but the speculation has gotten so loud that you do feel the need to just get your truth out there,” Hathaway continued. “And I’ll probably always wonder, ‘Should I have posted that or not?’” she added, referring to a video of her hairstylist demonstrating the look.

“Should I have just kept going and done the thing that makes me happy and makes me feel more confident on the red carpet?” Hathaway pondered. “But I felt like the conversation was becoming distracting.”

“Also, by the way, these are huge medical decisions that people are presuming,” she added. “I wanted to show that, like, no, I didn’t make a huge medical decision. It’s just two braids.”

As for whether she would ever get a facelift, Hathaway is open to it. “And by the way, the other thing about all this is, I might still get a facelift someday,” she explained.

Elsewhere in the interview, Hathaway got candid about being “harsh” with her younger self.

“One of the things about younger me is she was really scared, and I think that fear made me harsh with myself,” the actress said. “I shudder at the thought that I might have inadvertently been harsh with other people while I was being harsh with myself. I actually get nauseous thinking about it.”

Posting via her Instagram on Thursday, May 21, Griffin, 65, revealed that she had been hospitalized after a medical procedure.

“I spent the night in hospital because I had complications from my colonoscopy,” Griffin wrote.

While Griffin did not elaborate on why she underwent the procedure, the comedian assured her fans that she is now on the mend despite the health setback.

“I know, I know, very sexy, but I am home now with the doggies where I belong,” she added.

According to the Mayo Clinic, a colonoscopy “is an examination of the inside of your large intestine (colon). It’s helpful for diagnosing gastrointestinal diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer. It can also help treat and prevent colon cancer.”

Griffin’s followers flocked to her post’s comments section to send their well-wishes after the ordeal.

“Feel better soon ❤️,” wrote one, while another added, “Ugh… I’m so sorry this has happened. Bounce back, dear Kathy.”

Another follower wrote, “All that matters is that you are better and home!! Keep resting ❤️!”  One fan also chimed in with, “Wishing you a speedy recovery!”

It’s not the first time Griffin has been candid about undergoing health procedures. In 2010, Griffin received a poolside pap smear on her show, My Life on the D-List, in order to raise awareness for how important the medical procedure is for women’s health issues.

“I started talking to girlfriends of mine, my age and younger, and I just can’t believe how many women are afraid to get a pap smear or they forget or they’ve gone 10 years without doing one,” Griffin explained to E! News in 2010. “The message is, if you see me doing something so outrageous — some may say repulsive — that should make it easier for you to pick up the phone and call your doctor and go get one in the privacy of your own doctor’s office.”

Last week, Amy Schumer, 44, opened up about her own experience with a colonoscopy gone awry.

“I feel happier than I’ve ever been before,” Schumer told Amanda Hirsch during the “Dear Media by Night” event for Hirsch’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast event. “I actually had, kind of, a botched colonoscopy, so I’m not feeling very sexual.”

Earlier this year, Matthews began traveling to different locations in the U.S. in hopes of healing her skin, telling her Instagram followers in April that she was “terrified” of returning to her home state of Utah after feeling relief in California and Costa Rica that spring.

Smart has been in the public eye since she was kidnapped from her Salt Lake City home at age 14 and held captive for nine months before being rescued in 2003. After overcoming the harrowing ordeal, Smart has rebuilt her life as a wife, mother and advocate for sexual violence victims.

In April, Smart stunned social media followers when she shared a photo of herself in a blue bikini and high heels, revealing her dramatic transformation as a competitive bodybuilder.

While fans were shocked by Smart’s new look and passion for fitness, she tells Us she was drawn to the challenge. “I’ve always liked having a goal from when I studied music in school to then marathon running and wanting to improve my time,” she says. “Having a very clear, defined goal with a due date, something to work towards really appealed to me that way.”

While bodybuilding requires plenty of focus, Smart tells Us that it’s also given her more time to spend with her kids.

“Running took up hours and hours and hours, and then I was exhausted the rest of the day,” she recalls of her previous marathon training. “My long training runs got to a point where they were just so long that once I finished them, I didn’t want to do anything the rest of the day.”

Smart says the shorter exercise regimen affords her the ability to be “much more involved, much more present” with her kids. “I get them up in the morning. I get them ready, send them to school and then go work out,” she shares. “I would say it affects them minimally, at least until the days leading up to the show. Show day, I am 100 percent present.”

When asked what’s the most mentally and physically demanding about bodybuilding training, she doesn’t hesitate — her eating habits. “I really enjoy food. I like food,” she admits. “Eating will always be, physically, mentally, the hardest.”

Smart — who says she’s lost roughly 30 pounds since she started her bodybuilding journey in January 2025 — tells Us that her diet is also something that has had to shift to better perform.

“The last two weeks, going into a competition is exactly what my coach says. Whatever she’s told me to eat, there is no varying from that,” Smart says. “At that point, I feel like I really am on the countdown. I’m like, ‘I can see it, it’s right there.’”

In the week leading up to her most recent competition in April, where she placed first in her division, Smart estimates she was eating around 2,500 calories a day. “It was so much rice,” she notes, adding that she stuck to chicken, ground turkey, rice cakes, peanut butter and honey.

Smart notes that apart from her strict, clean-eating plan, her prep involves a “weekly check-in” that includes taking photos in her bathing suit from the “front, side, back” and taking measurements of her biceps, bust, waist, hips, thighs and calves. She also has to do a weigh-in prior to competing.

Smart’s trainer reviews all of her information and then sends her “a meal plan for that week,” which often includes protein, carbs and fats. “She will just adjust that as she feels my physique needs, and I can macro match,” Smart tells Us, explaining, “If I wanted ground turkey instead of chicken, I could do that.”

(Macro matching is a strategy that “tailors your daily intake of macronutrients,” which are proteins, carbohydrates and fats, to “match” your daily activity level and fitness goals, according to Medium.)

Despite needing to be in peak physical shape, Smart treats herself when she’s in between competitions.

“My husband and I went to Mexico shortly thereafter,” she reveals, “and I think I indulged for about a week.”

Jack concluded his video by criticizing the scrutiny he’s received regarding his weight over the years.

“The fact that I even have to say this blows my mind,” he said. “My entire life I was just brutalized by the press about being overweight, and the fact that I get down to a healthy weight, now I’m criticized even more? Get f***ed.”

Amid her postpartum experience, Steinfeld has shifted her usual fitness regimen.

“My body has gone through a lot of change recently, so I’m taking it slow while I figure out what my workout routine will look like moving forward,” the Sinners actress explained. “But any time the weather is nice enough to get outside, I’ll get out for a quick walk. If that’s not an option, I’m on the treadmill, or the stairmaster — which I’m really into right now.”

Steinfeld has also followed both The First 40 Days and her doula’s respective advice about postpartum nutrition.

“In general, [my doula] advised me to stick to warm foods during my postpartum recovery to help digestion and boost nutrient absorption, a philosophy that stems from Ayurveda,” Steinfeld said. “Knowing this, my mom made me this amazing albondigas soup the other day. It’s one of those rare soups that looks as good as it tastes.”

Steinfeld and Allen, 29, have been together since 2023, getting married two years later.

Lipa, 30, took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 13, to show off her toned figure in a number of hot bikinis during a trip to Ibiza, where she is believed to be celebrating her bachelorette party. During the Friday, May 8, episode, Iaconetti shut down speculation that she had a rhinoplasty and revealed she’s “never had plastic surgery.”

“You know how Kendall Jenner says that she’s never had plastic surgery? Kendall — I understand what she’s saying about her nose, though,” Iaconetti said, referring to rumors that Jenner, 30, got a nose job. “My sister had a nose job, my aunt had a nose job and my grandma had a nose job,” Iaconetti explained of the women in her family. “My other grandma? Well, she didn’t want to have a nose job but let’s just say she doesn’t have a tiny nose and she’s alive and 102.”

“My nose is natural, but Kendall says [her nose] got smaller with Accutane,” Iaconetti continued. “I also think my nose has gotten so much smaller with age.”

Iaconetti went on to say that in old photos, her nose was “so much wider.”

“Now I’m wondering, is it just acne medication in general? Because if [Kendall’s] not lying, my nose [also] got smaller once I started Spironolactone at 24.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Iaconetti doubled down that she’s never gone “under the knife” and has “never been under anesthesia.”

“I get my lips injected about once a year and I’ve been doing that for about 11 years,” Iaconetti shared. “I got it for the first time going into Bachelor in Paradise. And then, I get Botox — really mine lasts a long time. I think my forehead’s kinda trained at this point so it’s really every 5 months.”

She continued, “And then once a year I’ll do Botox in my masseter muscles — my jaw. And then the other thing that I love is chin filler, which I’ve done for 7 years.”

Iaconetti noted that she’s not a “big fan” of having filler in her cheeks.

Jenner previously squashed rumors that she secretly underwent a rhinoplasty during a January episode of the “In Your Dreams” podcast. “I swear to God, I’ve done two rounds of baby Botox in my forehead [and] that’s it,” she said.

“For any young fan that’s watching this video, thinking, ‘I’m just going to run and get a nose job … or whatever it is,’” Jenner continued. “I will say the nose job allegations I’ve gotten, I would believe them if it wasn’t me. I look at old photos of me and I’m like, ‘Wait, it does look like I’ve had a nose job.’”

Jenner shared that with time, she simply “grew into her nose.”

“It did look wider and it did feel bigger on my face when I was younger,” she explained. “I also … did Accutane for my acne, and there’s a theory on TikTok that acne shrinks your nose and, you guys, I swear it’s true.”

I mean, maybe, like, a full tummy tuck, but I don’t know. We’ll see. I’m so happy with everything. It turned out amazing, and I’m healthy.”

For other moms out there who may be questioning whether plastic surgery is right for them, Ivanelli advised women to do their research and take their time finding a doctor who makes them feel comfortable.

She also urged her peers to have no shame in doing what makes them feel comfortable in their own skin.

“In order to be the best mom and the best wife, you need to be happy with yourself within,” she explained. “I pride myself on really taking care of me first before I can fuel everybody else, and that makes me a better wife and a better mother when I’m happy with myself. Right now, I feel like I can conquer the world.”

The Angel alum, 46, told Page Six in an interview published on Friday, May 8, that she decided “on a whim” to have a vaginoplasty, a.k.a. posterior colporrhaphy, which reconstructs or repairs the vagina “due to damage from medical conditions, injury or other factors,” according to the Cleveland Clinic. It is also used to “tighten the vagina,” according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

“But then I had to commit to the bit,” Mollen said of getting the procedure during a spa trip to Austria with friends, calling the surgery “insane.”

Sharing insight into why she wanted the vaginoplasty, Mollen continued, “I noticed, ‘Why is everyone’s vagina so even?’”

The Girls alum added, “I just want to have a really cute, basic vagina.”

Mollen admitted that after seeing other women’s lady parts in Austria, she felt “somewhat insecure.”

“It’s just weird. I don’t want to be unique in that way,” she continued.

Mollen added that she asked her sister and mom to send photos of their vaginas so that she could see what they looked like.

In the exam room, her doctor told her that she “definitely” has a size difference in her labia but reassured her that this is not “abnormal” and it’s “just the way you were born.”
