The countdown is on! Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are set to tie the knot before the year is over. As such, Us Weekly has compiled everything we have learned about the engaged pair’s nuptials.
“The wedding is happening in India in December,” a source revealed exclusively to Us in October. The speedy timeline tracks with the pair’s accelerated engagement, which occurred in July after just two months of dating.
A little bit of him, a little bit of her! “They really want to blend wedding traditions from both of their cultures that are important to them,” an insider told Us in September. “Priyanka is having a really good time planning the wedding because it’s a mix of Indian and American styles and customs, which she knows so much about.”

The Mother of the Bride’s Wishes
The Quantico alum’s mother, Madhu Chopra, made her desires for the wedding known in an August interview with After Hrs. “I haven’t forced any of my thoughts on her, but I definitely want a traditional Indian wedding,” she said at the time. “That’s my only wish.” Madhu also became “emotional” when she thought of the bride’s father, the late Ashok Chopra, not being able to attend the festivities.
Meanwhile, a source told Us in August that Jonas is “super supportive” of his fiancée wanting an Indian wedding. The pair hinted at the traditional tone of their nuptials when they celebrated their engagement with a roka ceremony in India that same month.
Chopra’s friends Mubina Rattonsey and Anjula Acharia will serve as bridesmaids in the ceremony. After the roka ceremony, Rattonsey called the “Jealous” singer her bestie’s “perfect match.”
The Baywatch actress kicked off her wedding festivities with a bridal shower at Tiffany’s Blue Box Café in New York City in October. Rattonsey and Acharia hosted while the star-studded guest list included Kevin Jonas, Danielle Jonas, Kelly Ripa and Lupita Nyong’o. A DJ played Bollywood songs and bridesmaids gave special speeches during the bash.
Chopra, Sophie Turner — who is engaged to Joe Jonas — and more partied in Amsterdam in November, with the bride-to-be documenting the bachelorette party on social media. The former Bollywood star and the Game of Thrones actress appeared to bond on the trip, according to videos and photos which showed the two exchanging piggyback rides and lamenting their hangovers.
Chopra seemed to tease her wedding dress in a series of white ensembles in the weeks before tying the knot. If the outfits she wore to her bridal shower and bachelorette party are any indication, the gown will likely feature a form-fitting bodice and feathers galore.
Jonas and Chopra already have babies on the brain, according to a source who told Us in October that the duo “keep talking about starting a family together.” However, “they are going to wait till after the wedding to start trying. But it’s definitely on the agenda.”
The twosome kicked off their wedding celebrations with a Puja ceremony, a Hindu pre-marriage ritual, at the Chopras' home in Mumbai on Wednesday, November 28. Jonas sported a traditional Indian dress for the occasion, while the actress stunned in an embroidered suit and sari.
Chopra confirmed a few major details in her Vogue cover story for the January 2019 issue, which was published days before the nuptials. The actress will wear at least one custom Ralph Lauren dress. The bride also revealed that Jonas will ride into the wedding on a horse.
The newlyweds shared photos from their Mehendi ceremony — during which the bride, groom and core family members get henna tattoos — on Instagram on December 1. “One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures,” they wrote. “And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.”
