Kate Bosworth was born January 2, 1983 in Los Angeles, Calif. She was born with sectoral heterochromia, meaning she has one hazel and one blue eye, which has become her trademark.

Bosworth started in Hollywood with 1998's The Horse Whisperer, and got big-screen attention with 2002's Blue Crush. While the movie wasn't considered a success, it brought Bosworth to fame.

Since then, she landed the role of Lois Lane in 2006's Superman Returns, as well as 2007's 21. Bosworth has been romantically linked to actors Matt Czuchry and Orlando Bloom. She began dating model James Rousseau in September 2006.

After two years of dating, Bosworth split with her Straw Dogs costar Alexander Skarsgard in July 2011.
