Jonathan Majors

Full Name: Jonathan Majors
Hometown: Dallas, Texas
Relationship Status: Single
Birthday: September 7, 1989

Decades before skyrocketing to fame as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Majors grew up in Texas, moving halfway across the country after his birth in California. The actor, who once described himself as a “military brat,” frequently moved during his formative years as his father was in the Air Force. (His mom, for her part, was a church pastor.)

Though the Creed III star was bit by the acting bug at an early age, performing in school plays in the Lone Star State, he also had his fair share of run-ins with the law. He was temporarily kicked out of high school for fighting with another student and was arrested for shoplifting and more. Though Majors eventually found his passion for the stage — heading to North Carolina for undergrad and Yale to earn his MFA in theater — his legal troubles followed him after his career as a bonafide star. The Lovecraft Country actor was arrested in March 2023 after an alleged domestic violence dispute with a 30-year-old woman and was charged with assault and harassment and (Majors, for his part, vehemently denied being the aggressor in the incident.)

Prior to the headline-making alleged altercation, Majors gained critical acclaim and a large following due to his breakout role in 2017’s When We Rise, which he followed with star turns in Lovecraft Country, The Trial of the Chicago 7, The Power of the Dog, Da 5 Bloods and more. In 2021, the Texas native made his debut in the MCU with his role as Kang the Conquerer on the first season of Disney+’s Loki, which he has reprised in 2023’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. He starred in Creed III that same year.

In addition to his acting career, Majors is the father of daughter Ella, whom he welcomed in 2013 with a previous partner.
