Kate Hudson’s star-studded family consists of her mother Goldie Hawn and her longtime partner, Kurt Russell, estranged father Bill Hudson, brother Oliver Hudson and half-brother Wyatt Russell.

Following her role as Penny Lane in the 2000 film Almost Famous, for which she earned Golden Globe and Oscar nominations, Kate solidified her status as a leading lady in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003), Fool’s Gold (2008), Bride Wars (2009), Mother’s Day (2016), Music (2021) and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022). She had a recurring role on the hit show Glee from 2012 to 2013 and earned a starring role in the Apple TV series Truth Be Told in 2021. Kate cofounded the activewear brand Fabletics and has authored two lifestyle books.

Kate was married to The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson from 2000 to 2007. The couple share son Ryder, born January 2004. She went on to date Owen Wilson, Dax Shepard, Lance Armstrong and Alex Rodriguez before moving on with Muse lead singer Matthew Bellamy in spring 2010. Us Weekly broke the news in January 2011 that Kate was pregnant with her and Bellamy’s first baby. Son Bingham was born five months later. Hudson announced her engagement to Bellamy in April 2011, but the pair split in late 2014.

After brief flings with Derek Hough, Nick Jonas and Diplo, Kate began dating musician and longtime friend Danny Fujikawa in December 2016. They welcomed their first baby together, daughter Rani Rose, in October 2018. Kate announced the pair’s engagement via Instagram in September 2021.
