Katie Stevens

Katie Stevens is an actress and singer best known for starring in The Bold Type and competing on season 9 of American Idol. Stevens grew up in Southbury, Connecticut, and attended Pomperaug High School, where she was active in theater and choir before auditioning for American Idol at age 16.

Stevens rose to national attention as a finalist on American Idol in 2010, finishing in eighth place. After the show, she made the transition to acting, landing roles in short films and TV pilots before booking a lead part on MTV’s Faking It, which aired from 2014 to 2016.

In 2017, Stevens was cast as Jane Sloan on the Freeform series The Bold Type, a role she played for five seasons until the show ended in 2021. She has also appeared in Haunt (2019) and guest starred on shows such as CSI: Vegas and Fantasy Land.

Stevens married musician Paul DiGiovanni in 2019 after more than five years of dating. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Rome, in 2023.
