Kate Hudson grew up in California with her famous parents Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. The actress is best known for her role as Penny Lane in the film Almost Famous and her appearance in the romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days opposite Matthew McConaughey.

The actress ended a rocky 10-month relationship with You, Me, and Dupree costar Owen Wilson in 2007, and it's been said that the breakup was due in part to Wilson's frat-boy lifestyle and drug use. That relationship was also the force that led her to divorce her husband of nearly six years, Chris Robinson, of rock band The Black Crowes, in August 2006. Hudson and Robinson’s son Ryder was born in 2004.

The actress split with cyclist Lance Armstrong in July 2008 after a three-month romance. Hudson called it quits with Yankees player Alex Rodriguez in December 2009.

In January 2011, Us Weekly revealed exclusively that Hudson was expecting her first child with Muse rocker Matthew Bellamy; they welcomed son Bingham five months later. Hudson announced her engagement to Bellamy in April 2011.
