Amurri explained her choice to use divorce mediation in a blog post, writing, “We didn’t want to spend tons and tons of money unnecessarily on lawyer fees that would be better used saving for our kids’ futures. … No matter how challenging the mediating would be, what was most important to us was to make everything as discreet and holistic as possible for the sake of our children.”
