Marc Lupo

Summary

Marc Lupo is an entertainment reporter, writer and producer for Us Weekly covering breaking news and all things Hollywood. A native New Yorker, you’ll likely find Marc manning the city’s most high-profile red carpets. He’s conducted hundreds of interviews with celebrities including Helen Mirren, Hugh Jackman, Natalie Portman, Anna Faris, Zac Efron, Charlie Sheen, Alec Baldwin, Lamar Odom and Laura Dern. The celebrities he’d like to interview the most include Oprah, Bill Clinton, Jennifer Aniston and Beyoncé (call him!). In his spare time, an avid traveler and adventure seeker, Marc has visited countries in Asia, Europe, Central and South America and Africa. He plans to visit all 50 states in the U.S. before he dies.

Work or writing background leading to expertise

Marc has covered some of Hollywood’s biggest events, including The Grammys, Met Gala, MTV’s Video Music Awards, VH1’s Trail Blazer Honors and Variety’s Women of Power luncheon. He was even in attendance when Cardi B threw her shoe at Nicki Minaj during a NYFW event held at The Plaza Hotel. Most recently, Marc served as video correspondent covering the 5th annual Bentonville Film Festival in Arkansas. He interviewed celebrities including Geena Davis, Gabrielle Carteris and Frankie Grande about the need for diversity and inclusion in media. Marc also works with Us’ parent company’s American Media Inc’s television arm to create fresh and innovative documentaries. He’s credited as a supervising producer and on-air contributor for several Us Weekly produced specials including: Luke Perry: In His Own Words, which aired on The Reelz Channel in spring 2019 and College Admissions Scandal: Varsity Blues which aired in winter 2020.

 

Education

Marc is a graduate of Quinnipiac University where he majored in public relations and advertising. College is also where Marc learned how to curate the perfect vodka soda and discovered that Dominos tastes the best after 2 a.m.

Work history

Prior to joining Us Weekly, Marc worked as a talent producer at The Wendy Williams Show. (“How You Doin’?”) His other work experiences include BET’s Wendy’s Style Squad, The Tyra Banks Show, The Nate Berkus Show, The Apprentice, Bravo’s Tabatha’s Salon Takeover, The Montel Williams Show and Live! With Regis and Kelly.
