Jamie Foxx was born Eric Marlon Bishop in Texas in 1967. Best known for his Oscar-winning performance as Ray Charles, Foxx headlined the WB hit The Jaime Foxx Show prior to his recent film successes.

In 2004, Foxx became the first African-American to be nominated for two Academy Awards in the same year: best supporting actor for Collateral and best actor for Ray, which he won. Fox is also talented off screen: his second album, Unpredictable, reached the top of the Billboard album chart.
