BIO
Tracy Morgan was born November 10, 1968 in Brooklyn, New York. He was first discovered in 1984 during a stand-up performance at The Apollo.
At the age of 23, Morgan began his acting career on the sitcom Martin. He was also a regular cast member on Uptown Comedy Club, a sketch comedy show filmed in Harlem, from 1992 to 1994.
He joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1996 and was a regular performer until 2003. His most famous character was wildlife enthusiast, Brian Fellow.
Morgan joined the cast of NBC's 30 Rock in 2006. He plays Tracy Jordan, a sketch comic, alongside fellow SNL alum Tina Fey.
In 1996, Morgan was diagnosed with diabetes. Fourteen years later, he received a kidney transplant. He married his high school sweetheart, Sabrina, in 1985, and officially filed for divorce in 2009. The two have three songs together.
In June 2011, Morgan went on a homophobic rant while performing stand-up in Nashville, Tenn. He later apologized and agreed to work with LGBT youth in New York City.
