I don't believe people are trying to be ugly commenting on women over 40 having babies. There have been many, including someone in my family giving birth to a down syndrome baby. It's really none of their business but they just commented, o.k.? Lord willing John & Kelly have a healthy baby. Mariah too.:)

I had a baby boy almost two years ago at the grand age of 54.My husband was 52 We used IVF and his arrival was a total wonderful and unbelievable miracle following the devastating death of our 11 year old beautiful daughter 7 years ago. We have an older daughter now 22 so 20 years between her and our little boy. He has made us all smile again, given us a joy we thought we should never have again. It is not anyones place to judge and he is a wonderful, bright , beautiful child who we are blessed to have. Although there is never a moment when we do not miss and grieve for the daughter we have lost, we believe our baby is a gift from her. We get tired but doesnt everyone? We are in good health and our son is a happy adored child. People who sneer at older mums are ignorant or maybe just jealous. We have had only encouragement , support and love throughout. One day when he is old enough we will explain to him how he was chosen and he will always know how precious and wanted he is.

Really Why is everybody so rude? So they are bringing a baby into this world, and that is a blessing. We looked down on teenagers having babies but yet we give them a TV show, that how many millions watch? Just let them be happy. I am sure you wouldn't be happy if people were bugging you all the time and YOU were wanting another kid. I know of a family where I lived at one time had 15 kids, that is a family who made ends meet and didn't have the world looking after them. So get over yourselves and leave all these celebs alone. Plus we also let a single mother have 8 more babies and guess what she is living off the government, we are paying for her kids to eat, get medial treatment, all these celebs are paying for all that. Most of yous are just jealous that you can't look that good or make that much money, they are just like you or I, they have feelings.

I believe I heard years ago that Celine and Rene had frozen multiple eggs or embryos. This was around the time of her first pregnancy. I think it is great that she is able to have the family she wants and obviously craves. In the old days, before modern medicine, older women were having babies all the time. Sure, some of them were less than healthy, but the odds of having a health baby are still greater than of having an unhealthy one. More power to her!

Anyone ever consider the idea that she could be using a donor egg? Given her age, that's the most likely scenario, which means she will benefit from maturity as a mom & avoid genetic risks associated with being an older mother.

At 47, John Travolta's wife announced in May 2010 that she was expecting their third child. Preston's mom Linda Carlson told Us that her daughter "has been longing for another baby" since the death of their son Jett in 2009. Carlson added that her daughter "is in good health" for pregnancy.
