Billy Ray Cyrus Files for Divorce From Wife Tish After 17 Years

Achy-breaky heartbreak for Miley Cyrus' mom and dad.
After 17 years of marriage, Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from wife Tish in Tennessee on Tuesday, UsMagazine.com has confirmed.
"As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family," they tell Us in a joint statement. "We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers."
In the divorce complaint acquired by Us -- filed in Williamson Country Chancery Court -- singer Billy Ray, 49, is listed as the plaintiff, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Billy Ray, and Tish, 43, have three kids together: pop star Miley, 17, Braison, 16, and Noah, 10; Billy Ray also adopted Trace and Brandi, Tish's children from a previous relationship.
In the papers, Billy Ray asks for shared custody of their three minor kids, and for an equitable division of their marital assets.

They had money shortly after their marriage in 1993....Billy Ray made 25 Million in 92-93, around the time Miley was born...so maybe they just simply grew apart or maybe Tish really did have an affair with Brett.

Divorce has become a fact of life for many couples. Sometimes career paths take different directions and cause stress that can not be over come. I read a lot of comments about marriage vows. At one time families lived as one they ate together, went out together, watched TV together, etc; today in many families the members have to set up appointments to share activities. Husbands and wives become strangers who share a bedroom.
BRC is probably getting lots of groupie attention due to his aesthetically-challenged oldest daughter, so he's shoving the wife away. Don't tear his heart, his achey-breakey heart.... NOT.
