Gulbranson was born and raised in Northern Minnesota. The former reality star eventually left his hometown in order to pursue his modeling career in New York City. He signed with Wilhelmina models in 2015 and now is signed with the Click agency.
The model made his reality TV debut on the Bravo show Summer House in 2020. The series follows a group of friends who share a house in Montauk, New York while escaping the July heat of the city. During winter 2021, Gulbranson officially announced via an Instagram livestream that he was exiting the show in June 2022 but was “extremely thankful” for his time on the series and the friends he made. Although he left Summer House, the Minnesota native still appeared in the second season of Winter House, which aired in October 2022.
Gulbranson made his transition into acting in 2020 when he guest starred on the TV show The Flight Attendant and also landed a role in the indie comedy Love…Reconsidered alongside Colton Haynes.
During the filming of Summer House season 5, Luke built up flirtatious connections with fellow co stars Hannah Berner and Ciara Miller. The actor has also been linked to Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby.

Aside from reality TV and acting, Gulbranson also is a youth hockey coach and owns his own jewelry and clothing line, Ranger Co.
