Soccer sensation Cristiano Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985, in Portugal. He is currently a forward for the Spanish club Real Madrid and is a captain for the Portuguese national team.

When he was transferred to Real Madrid from his former team Manchester United, the deal was worth $132 million, making Ronaldo the most expensive soccer player in history. He is also set to be paid almost $17 million per year for the next six years with Real Madrid. In 2008, Ronaldo was named the FIFPro World Player of the Year and the FIFA World Player of the Year.

In June 2010, Ronaldo welcomed a son, Cristiano, Jr. He has taken full custody of the child and has not disclosed the mother's identity.

The athlete has been romantically linked to a number of women including model Gemma Atkinson, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and more recently, Russian model Irina Shayk.
