As much as he tries to inhabit new roles, Stamos will always be remembered first and foremost as Uncle Jesse Katsopolis to Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen on the long-running sitcom Full House.

After the show went off the air in 1995, Stamos' career languished through several made-for-TV movies and commercial work. He also pursued a musical career, even touring with the resurrected Beach Boys, and appeared on Broadway in Cabaret.

Stamos has been involved with his Full House costar Lori Loughlin, Demi Moore, Denise Richards, Paula Abdul and Heather Locklear. However, he is most famous for stunning the world by marrying actress/supermodel Rebecca Romijin in September 1998. They divorced in March 2005.

After a scene-stealing guest starring role on Friends, Stamos was able to land his own show, Jake in Progress, which enjoyed moderate success prior to its cancellation.

In 2006, Stamos joined the cast of ER, where he played the role of Dr. Tony Gates.
