The secret behind Anne Hathaway's perfect, porcelain complexion has been revealed: she gives her skin a break from makeup on her days off!

The bare-faced One Day star was spotted leaving a Brooklyn gym after getting her sweat on with a friend in NYC on Thursday.

The actress, 28, has been enjoying some R&R with her actor boyfriend Adam Shulman while her upcoming action flick, The Dark Night Rises, transitions from filming in Pittsburgh, Penn. to The Big Apple.

In the third Christopher Nolan-directed Batman installment, Hathaway plays the leather-clad, motorcycle-riding Catwoman.

"I just started to do Bikram yoga," the actress told Chelsea Handler in August about getting in shape to wear the skin-tight costume. "And right now, I'm, like, living on kale and dust."

These stars look so much better with some make up rather then the mask they wear, and too long fake eyelashes, and all the crap they wear. They look like clowns.

She looks good..but tired. The makeup does a good job of covering up the dark circles under her eyes ( I get them too). But, I still like the natural look best.

We need all the Catwomen we can get. If you think that Nature has a message for us, then make-up is not good. Make-up is associated with the artifice and wickedness of civilisation, known as Babylon. A Gothic sensibility can appreciate the fading of beauty beneath the uncracked varnish.
