For the 2001 comedy Shallow Hal, the skinny star donned a “profoundly uncomfortable” 25-pound fat suit and latex makeup. “I felt no sexual energy from men,” she has said about filming. “When I come to the set with the suit on and feel none of that, it is palpable."
