BIO

Born December 3, 1985 in Allentown, Penn., Amanda Seyfried made her feature film debut in 2004 starring opposite Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls.

After a series of small parts in television and in movies, the former child model grabbed the attention of critics and fans alike on the HBO series Big Love in 2006. Playing the daughter of a polygamous Morman father, played by Bill Paxton, the actress used her newfound fame to land the lead role in the 2009 film Mamma Mia!, costarring Meryl Streep. While filming the movie, Seyfried began dating co-star Dominic Cooper.

Seyfried's acting career is booming: her 2010 drama Dear John knocked the record-breaking Avatar out of the top spot, and in February 2010, she was named as one of Vanity Fair's It Girls.

The actress began dating Ryan Phillippe after meeting him at Kate Hudson's Halloween party in October 2010.
